So today I booked us 2 A380 france air line plane tickets to South Africa. My mom needs me and at the age of 70 she does own the right. We left South Africa almost 16 years ago. Yes we are frightfully apprehensive but hope to see a good safe place?………..

You have no reason to be apprehensive to return… it is safe… just think of the places you shouldn’t go to and do go there… it is the same all over the world.. stay away from the dark areas…
Depends a lot where you will be in SA. For many parts, like the major cities, those who say it is safe are ostriches with heads in the sand. However, if one takes basic precautions and avoids doing silly (for here) things, one can manage. It is simply necessary to readjust a lot of behaviour which would be considered normal overseas.

Like with any place, there are dangers. You just have to be careful in whatever you do
I am sure you won’t be visiting places that are deemed dangerous. In most big cities, like Joburg and Durban the city centres are not worth going to anyway. Most of us have learned to be careful and do not do things like leaving a handbag visible in a car or wearing expensive jewelry.
Just enjoy the visit with your Mom.

Thanks Desire I will. My hubby works for air bus and the A380 was one of his projects that he worked on in Toulouse France so he is ecstatic that finally he can fly in his work so to speak 🙂
